Everything you always wanted to know about Network Marketing, but were too Afraid to Ask!

“The trouble with the world is not that people know too little, but that they know so many things that ain’t so.” Mark Twain

Now that I got your attention, let me clearly state, I am a landscaper and not a Certified Public Accountant, nor do I claim to be, please check with your local government as well as with your bookkeeper to acquire the exact rules and regulations that apply to where you live and pay your taxes. Here is yet another huge advantage about network marketing. Everyone knows that being self employed or owning assets can reduce incredible amounts of taxes one must pay. Big Business has known this for years, and has managed to keep this little secret for them selves.

Well as Bob Dylan once said, “The times they are a changin’” As an employee in a traditional JOB, one invests time in exchange for a salary, which then in turn is taxed. Sure there are a few tax write offs, but for the most part, the average worker works the first 4 months of the year just to pay these taxes. And while they are full time employees, working a full time job already, the time required is in it self taxing. The majority have a minimum of 40 hours a week and then those who dare to work even longer, receiving so called overtime, in an effort to get ahead of one’s expenses, are taxed even more on the hard earned overtime hours. Well there is a way to keep your job and at the same time, as an option to overtime, set up a home based business, better known as network marketing. By investing as little as 10 hours per week you can claim tax deductions that until now were only allowed to those with huge companies in the corporate world. You must look at your new home business as a serious business and not just a hobby, many newbies say “we will give it a try and see if it makes any money”. This is fun, but very unprofessional. When one conducts their new home business as a professional, then with that responsibility, one qualifies for enormous tax breaks.

It takes time to create success in any network marketing company, and the visible rewards one receives in the beginning, from commissions on sales or the compensation plan, are actually way down the list in comparison to the benefits one is eligible for, right from the get go with just the step of making this decision to create a home based business. Here are just a few of the tax write offs Network Marketers become eligible for as a home based business owner, many of the things you are paying for now, become legitimate tax deductions. In the corporate world these are known as business expenses. The costs one occurs in running a business.

Things like:

• Your computer, printer, scanner, fax, telephones (Office Infrastructure)

• Your internet connection costs • Your long distance and cell phone service

• All of your office supplies • All advertising materials purchased

• All advertising in internet, newspaper, magazines, etc…

• A percentage of your rent or mortgage (Business is operated from your Home Office)

• The initial investment or the start-up costs you pay to become associated with your network marketing opportunity, sometimes including products you use for promotions

• Your vacations when combined with the appropriate amount of business activities • Your Clothing, Business attire required for your business meetings and trainings

• Dinner meetings / Entertainment Costs with potential clients or team partners

And the list goes on, mileage for travel expense incurred with your vehicle; here one must document exact mileage for these positions. Very simple to accomplish with a small notepad in the glove box! Isn’t it time that the average hardworking Joe, who now has the chance to benefit like the corporate giants, can finally choose to join a network marketing business, or start any home-based business. As a home based business owner, many of the things you are paying for now, become legitimate tax deductions. This is commonly known as redirecting your expenses. With just these few facts stated, and I am not the first to point these out, one can find endless information to support these facts. One my best mentors often says “after the facts the only thing that follows is the truth.” So my question to each and every one of you is when these facts as they are, are true, and publicly available to all who desire to know the truth, then why doesn’t everybody have their own little home based business?

“All truth passes through three stages. First it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.” Arthur Schopenhauer

I believe we were not taught to do so. I love, honour, and respect my parents, grandparents, and all my teachers for what they provided, they were only doing what they thought was best for us at the time. But we were raised and taught to get good grades in school, graduate from a good college, and get a good secure job. We then worked very hard and sometimes, when you were among the very fortunate you just might have been rewarded by our employers.

Do you all know what networkers call a J.O.B.? Just over Broke, how long can you exist if you lost your job today? Exist, not flourish and grow, but only survive, pay your rent, feed your family, put gas in your car, just be able to meet these primary costs of living? Most people have luck when the answer is 3 months, and even the managers, bankers and CEO’s who receive the Golden Parachute usually can only survive a year or two at the most before it is necessary to find another JOB or alternate form of income. I don’t know about you but I surely want more from life, more for my family, more time for doing the things I want to do, when I choose to do them and the freedom to work wherever I want, when I want, with who I want.

I found this on the internet and find it quite amazing. According to Sandy Botkin, the author of ‘Lower Your Taxes Big Time’ and a former IRS Attorney, “You would be brain dead not to start a home-based business.” I agree to a point. Lots of people with perfectly healthy brains just don’t know what they don’t know. Like our friend Mark Twain stated before. And I am in good company when I also say, one must either, love to suffer and struggle, or really is brain dead if you know the potential tax benefits and then still decide not to start a home-based business.

Botkin also has explained the following:

• You will never get rich until you learn to get your taxes down to the legal minimum

• There are 2 tax systems in this country – one for salaried employees, and one for small/home business owners

• A home business will make you better off than a second income

• Traditional job security has declined over the years and will continue to do so, making home businesses more attractive

• You will probably save $2000 to $10,000 per year by starting your own part-time home business

So what are you going to do? This may not be the answer for everybody, but I will tell you what I have done and I do not regret one minute my decision. Just Do It, like Michael Jordan said. Do not wait and see what your friends or associates have for experiences. Do not listen to all those trapped in their 9 to 5, misery loves company. And no one wants to be left behind.

So let’s be the ones to set the example for others, take the first step, there will be literally hundreds when not thousands who will choose to follow you. And isn’t that what we all came here for in the first place, just to be ourselves, love what we do and give the gift of financial freedom to anyone willing to invest in themselves and really become the leader that each and everyone of us has deep within our hearts and souls.

Leaders are not born overnight, they make a choice and begin to take baby steps, one step at a time. They choose to grow, make sacrifices, like turning off the TV, and reading a book, or helping a new associate learn the ropes of the trade. The path takes patience and resilience, determination and discipline, and no it is not a get rich quick scam, but rather a life long commitment you make to yourself, your loved ones and all the fortunate souls that cross your path in life. I may not have an answer for everyone, but I have a solution that will be right for many.

Start a home based network marketing business this year. Starting your own home based network marketing business may be the very best asset that you’ll buy in this lifetime. My highest recommendation to you is start a network marketing business today! Due to the unbelievibly low start-up costs, some as low as 40 USD, not to mention the enriching personalized training you will, should, receive from the person and team that sponsors you.

Naturally like all new adventures we undertake, one will have a learning curve to go through before they start making money. In the old days people believed network marketing was better suited to those outgoing, super people-person types who loved nothing better than to approach every person they encountered around town and tell them about their business. Or someone who was already well connected, and could build a large organization almost over night based on their established relationships. Nowadays you can still be outgoing and connected and succeed, that hasn’t changed.

What has changed is, if you’re shy, like to stay at home, or just too busy living your life to attend meetings and host home parties, you can still build a thriving business. With the use of today’s modern technology, the Internet, websites, discussion groups, blogs, the telephone and daily consistent action, you can work part-time on building your dynasty from the comfort of your home.

So if you followed any thing I have written and you are ready to start your home based business, or even if you once thought you weren’t cut out for network marketing, please consider taking another look. You may not have changed, but succeeding in this particular industry has. We all do not think twice about telling someone about a good book, or an excellent restaurant, not to mention a great film we just saw, and have we ever received a free meal at those restaraunts, or free tickets for the next film? No, as far as I now no one ever has, we do network marketing voluntarily, all the time, and do not get paid one dime for it! Isn’t it really time for a change.

I hate to be corny here, we have all heard this way too much lately, but it really fits. Can anyone succeed in network marketing, and my answer is Yes We Can! Wouldn’t it be something new to love filing our tax reports each year? One of my personal goals is to make April the 15th a national holiday, where every hard working tax payer can celebrate the day they decided to join the most incredible form of business in the 21 Century!
